For the inaugural episode of Behold The Spirit, I just jumped into it. Phil DeFranco would be proud.
I have lots of origin stories from my life’s journey to date, but the one that made the most sense to share was the one about the self-help tape I listened to that brought me to this platform. It’s actually one of a series called the Gateway Tapes by The Monroe Institute.
Before I listened to it, I had no notion of writing. Certainly not on Substack. Certainly not a podcast, either. But here I am, working on a book, throwing my weight into a blog and really meaning it this time, and looking into all the other ways I can embrace my newfound identity as a writer. I chose Substack because I’ve had my eye on it since its inception and sense that now is the time when it’s hitting critical mass.
So that’s what’s fueling my fire. I did a self-help tape and tapped into my deep desire to be a writer which I, for whatever reason, have been denying myself for so many years. I hope you’ll come along with me on this fascinating new journey.
If you have any ideas for topics you’d like to hear on a future episode, please let me know! I’m still figuring it out as I go.
Thanks for listening, y’all.
